Do you think that schools should have uniforms? I think it would be good so that students won't wear inappropriate clothing because sometimes, they really do get away with not obeying the dress code. Then again, I don't want to wear a skirt to school everyday... I'm pretty sure most people are going to say no uniforms, but make an argument anyway, please.

ok, I usually make my debate posts worth reading (or in other words, more than one sentence) so NO WAY. School uniforms, for the most part, would be widely unpopular. They are usually uncomfortable (or at least, not as comfortable as normal clothes) and unattractive. Lets face it, who wants to go to a school where the opposite gender can't wear clothes that make them attractive. So long as a simple dress code is "enforced", uniforms should not be used. that is the problem however, some schools just dont' enforce it, thats your only problem. No uniforms would help keep up moral, participation and school numbers.
By the way, our school had a teacher called in for a dress code violation, it was pretty funny.

I'm still against them. Its like you said Yuki, you want what you don't have and you don't know what you've got until its gone.

What if the uniforms were comfortable? Like what if the students could design the uniforms and could use denim or anything else as long as it's modest? Think more like that. It wouldn't be too bad, then, and you could always express yourself with your hair. Don't get me wrong! I still say no uniforms. It's not really a debate unless you bring up good points about both sides of the argument, so that's what I'm doing.

Yea, like Jenni said. I wouldn't want to wear skirts, I think pants would be fine. I wouldn't mind wearing uniforms, actually.

well i don't know about you guys but i'm totally against it, and do you really think they would let you design it ya right, if they would, you'd have to get your own clothes or material to make it and then you might as well just be following a dress code, same thing. I just don't think its a good idea.
