This thread is for your opinion of the movie, Phantom of the Opera. I absolutely loved this movie. I like the singing better from original cast better, but its still very good. I love that movie and muisical.

I love, love, love, love, love x infinity this movie! I also like the original cast singing better. The phantom in the original had a much better voice and more power. When I first heard him in the movie, he sounded really...strange. I don't know how to put it. Also, they kind of cheated with the mask. When he took it off, more of his face was deformed than what the mask covered. Oh, and Christine in the original obviously had an easier time hitting the high notes.

What's wrong with them using the same tune for different things? The actual songs stand alone, and then the melodies are used to create other parts of the story. It actually makes it very...uh, what's the word...powerful? I don't know. But, yes, it's good that they did that. Other, there would be a new tune for everything, and that would get annoying after awhile. I mean, it really would.

I'm not trying to protect the movie. I'm trying to protect the fact that it uses the same melodies over and over. I actually agree that the story itself does get kind of boring. The only reason I love it so much is because of the excellent music.
