Alright, all members of the book club should have chapters 1-2 read by today, in this thread the members can discuss what we've read thus far.
If anyone thinks that we should speed up our reading pace, please tell us, otherwise, we'll continue reading two chapters a week.

I hope everyone read the prologue, thats a given when you read a book Anyways Chapters 1-4: Very interesting I thought. Eragon is already cool, in my mind, I enjoy his skills and personality. I also like the way Paolini writes, he seems an excellent author and writes beautifully. I've always thought that a good plot can be ruined by bad writing and a stupid plot can be made excellent by good writing, I've seen several examples of these. This seems to be a mixture of a good writing with a good storyline also (I love fantasy, its my favorite book genre). I guess it is obvious that the dragon is to help Eragon become a legendary dragon rider or that Eragon is to help reinstate them. Once again, there is nothing I enjoy more than a really well written book. It seems Paolini could write 300 pages about nothing and I would still enjoy simply because of his amazing talent.
All in all, excellent book, looking forward to more chapters. And may I suggest that we bump up the chapters? I'm not sure what to but more than 2.

Yes, very nice book. Since it is just the begginning, I can't really say anything about it yet, I can't wait until we get more into it!
Eh...hardly anyone is posting in this thread...! Oh, yes, I think we should kick up the reading pace a little. How about four chapters a week?

I was so bored in the beginning! It was until close to the end that I started getting into it, and then it ended. It was good, though. I can't wait for the next books so I can end this cliffhanger!

good idea, I think 4 chapters is good, I'm almost done with the book but I don't want to go faster than some others might want to.

Gosh, sorry, guys, I haven't really been keeping a good eye on this, have I? Alright, I'm sorry, but I'm not really sure what chapter everyone is on now, I finished the book. Since this isn't going along so well, do you guys just want to finish the book at our own pace but be done by October 31st, then start off fresh in November with a new book? I'm thinking that that would be the easiest way to get out of this situation... Next time will be better! We'll be more organized! This first time was...um...a practice round! Yeah, that's it! It was a practice round!

I'm going to try to remember what I read. I had the book finished just after my first post about it, I enjoyed it so much. I can't wait for the next book, Paolini's talent is unparallelled in the writing world. I love getting to know the characters in the way he does it, and he gives lots of details but not too many with lots of sensory. I think it should be interesting to see how Eragon fares when he has to go see the elves, I am looking forward to that. Whenever I read a book or watch a movie, the elves are always the coolest in my opinion, but anyays, any other opinions?

Alright, I'm sorry, guys...(or rather I should say--Football54, who is the only one participating) but it's a new month, and we need to start a new book. Hopefully next round has more active participants, I'll be active next round as well.
Please check the Book Club thread for details on next round.
