Does anyone see a point in history? I sure don't.

Me neither, actually. People keep trying to explain it to me, but I just don't see the point.

history is important "those who do not know the mistakes of the past are doomed to repeat them"
For example:
Germany-1942-Fall--- Hitler is trying to invade Russia, but his invasion was put off because Italy made the stupid move of invading Greece (that, in itself, it a whole diffferent story) but anyways, Hitlers invades Russia in the fall. BIG MISTAKE! If he knew his history, he would have known Napolean tried to do the same thing and failed just as miserably. Hitler had the war won, and could have taken russia easily, just not in the winter.

So...in other words, football54 you are saying that important leaders need to know their history well. Insignificant people like me are not doomed to repeat such events because we do not have the authority...
History should be like math courses...take it for a little while, then it becomes optional. And for certain jobs you need a certain amount of years of it or whatever. Yeah...it should stop after elementary/junior high.

wait a second jay so ur saying that u dont have to always take math but u have to always have history??? maybe my school is wierd and stuff but its vice versa
o and y cant it be u thats gonna be the leader of a nation and also the people of a nation need to know the past so that they can make better choices as a nation in the future i.e. electing presedents and going to war and stuff.
if we didnt remember what happened in ww2 we might be in ww3 right now or worse if we didnt remember as a nation what happened with the abomb we couldve destroyed the whole earth when cold war was happening so ya basically if we dont remember the past the past will repeat itself

Well, I think we need to learn about the big important stuff, yeah, but who cares about the little details? You need three math credits. I don't know about history. It might be three as well. All I really know is that you need three math credits and four English credits. Geometry is also kind of useless. I mean, we're learning about points and planes and lines and stuff...none of these things even exist! We're learning about a bunch of make-believe! (Ahem, that was a joke.)
