Alright guys, this might get a little deep or heated but I think its a good debate.
Government: More vs. Less Since it is obvious that presidents and political leaders are always aiming for change, we will never stay the same, everyone should agree to that, but since we aren't staying the same, which way should we go. This isn't Republican vs. Democrat but those opinions would make it a cool debate. Any opinions would be awesome guys.

oh, and by the way, in case you guys are getting confused, when i say more or less, we are talking about "governmental control" just so you all know.

another thing that has bothered me is that george bush wont let scientists do ne sperm research that can and will almost for sure have valuable life changing affects thats about the only thing that i dont like about bush
the problem with more is that we wont have as much privacy ne more and idk about u guys but i like my privacy where the government cant see it.

excellent tanner, although since that is wrong i dont' think too many people will sympathize with you... haha, anyways Since no one is posting, I will go out of character voice my opinions early. The government was created by the Founding Fathers SOLEY "to keep men from injuring one another." that is exactly how they put it and it is an excellent phrasing. Government is not now regarded merely as an instrument to restrain men from injuring one another but as a sort of all purpose, around the clock device to make men happy and secure from the cradle to the grave. WRONG. It is this perversion of government that now makes it both ridiculous and corrupt. Government does not create liberty; on the contrary, government is the persisting danger to human liberty. Woodrow Wilson said, "The history of liberty is a history of limitations of governmental powers, not the increase of it. When we resist, therefore, the concentration of power, we are resisting the processes of death, because concentration of power is what always precedes the destruction of human liberties." This is simple, the government is a necessary evil, after all, we wouldn't need government if all men were angels, but they aren't so we need a bit of protection. Other than that, nothing more! But, the government now roams where it wishes, over our traditions, morals and standards, over the bill of rights, over every place of business and every aspect of our lives. It is sad to put it this way but unless the government relents in its control-freak frenzy, we will have but two options, submit to its tyranny, or revolution.

ok lare question how is it wrong? i mean i can see y people dont like the idea of it but when u get down to it there is sooooooooo much to be gained by sperm whatever research.(i think that is the wording im not exactily sure) i mean if we could learn about ya then we would be able to hopefully fix the dna strand and would help cure cancer and like retartedness and we could regrow arms and stuff but bush is listening to just the sound of it and ya
so lare tell me again y is it bad?

now tanner, you wouldn't be being watched because you did something stupid and wrong now, would you? I mean, you've got your people that do stupid things and then you've got your people that do wrong things, but you take it to a whole new level. I'm just messin with ya bro
But anyways, the topic of genetic research is not one i'm going to touch. I don't konw near enough and i have way too many mixed opinions on it, kinda like the rest of the world so i'll leave it at that.

well i guess we could start with "what branch of genetic reseach" do you want me to express my opinion on? I haven't done much homework on it so it might not be as good as my normal opinions.
And tanman, what do you use to download at $1 a song?

Yes...$1 a song? What DO you use? Oh, to the debate... Personally, I feel that there should be less. I'm not a criminal (ya'll believe that now, right? ) but sometimes I do feel over protected. I mean, I've even heard that on some military bases you need hurricane passes to step outside of the house or else you get a ticket. Also, (my dad use to be in the military, so that's why I'm speaking of it so much) you need ID cards, just to get home. What kind of a law is that? You need an ID card to get the grocery store, to rent videos, to eat...everything! Anywhere and everywhere, you can't go anywhere without being much. Outside of the military, tho, I think that government control is just fine. Maybe they could simma' down just little...

ok as far as the $1 thing i got caught by the feds downloading the matrix reloaded on kazzaa 3 months before it was in theaters and they turned off my enet for a month and alot of crap happened to me
so my parents got rid of kazzaa and made me get a "legal" downloading system so i had to get Itunes which charges 1$ for every song that u get which sucks big time and ya
well and genetic reasearch as a whole g b has blocked off
now if we could do GR then wed be able to make fake blood and wed be able to probably fix cancer
wed be able to regrow armes and fingers and stuff it prolly would help with retardedness and ya so that is y i think that GR should be legal
basically we could do nething that we wanted from making ur lips look like angoline jolies to ur butt being the size of dereks all from GR so ya
